"Serial No. 45206c, manufactured in 1926 at the Ishapore Rifle Factory, .303 British, 25" round barrel. Bolt is non-matching to the receiver. Rifle remains in good overall condition, showing expected handling and service wear consistent with long-term military use. Metal finish has toned to a uniform grey patina, and stock exhibits light surface impressions from use. Some internal mechanical components retain traces of cosmoline, indicating extended storage. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A solid example of an early post-WWI Indian-manufactured SMLE, reflecting both British design heritage and Ishapore craftsmanship.
