"Serial No. 2161g, manufactured in 1943, 8mm Mauser, 24" round barrel. Metal surfaces have thinned to a light grey patina, showing even aging throughout. Serial numbers are matching. Stock has been lightly varnished and bears an “H" stamp, denoting Heer (German Army) issue. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Rifle comes with an original wartime sling. A solid and attractive example of a ce 43–coded K98k, produced by J.P. Sauer & Sohn, retaining both its military character and correct German Army markings.
