"Serial No. 31584j, manufactured in 1945, .303 British, 25¼" round barrel. Rifle is non-matching. The receiver is marked “H.K.P. 327," denoting issue to the Hong Kong Police. Metal surfaces exhibit a uniform service patina, while the stock shows expected handling marks, nicks, and dings consistent with extended police use. Action cycles smoothly and functions properly. Includes brown canvas sling. A well-preserved example of a postwar G.R.I.-produced No.1 Mk III rifle, bearing distinctive colonial police markings and representative of British Commonwealth service arms of the period.
