Description:
Serial #1253846, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome rifle that has a 9-44 dated, "HS" replacement barrel by High Standard, and retains 95-97% of an overall parkerized finish throughout, with some silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, as well as on the bearing surfaces of the bolt. The walnut stock has some very minor handling marks scattered about the otherwise excellent military oil finish, with fairly crisp "(Ordnance Crossed Cannons) FJA" and "RA" stamps on the left side ahead of the wrist, Remington manufacturing stamps and "P (in circle)" proof stamp on the underside, and a post-war "OG" Ogden Arsenal inspection stamp on the left side of the buttstock. This is a splendid example of a Remington-made ‘03, refurbished after WW2, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R;
