Vintage WWII Period Browning Model 1910 .32 Auto Pistol
- Offered here for sale and just acquired is an excellent WWII collectible auto pistol. The Model 1910 was designed by John Moses Browning and produced by FN Fabrique Nationale of Belgium), beginning around 1912 (though the model name “1910” refers to the design) and continued in production for decades (some sources say up to ~1975 or even into the 1980s). The pistol has a short barrel (roughly 3.4″ or so is consistent with many of the civilian versions in .32 calibre). The model has a strong historical pedigree. Given the serial number (118,474) as well as the number of units made from 1910-1939 this specimen made date the mid to late 1930s making it a specimen made commercially but certainly plausible to be carried during the war. The pistol retains almost all of its blued finish, has an excellent bore and the grips are very sound (showing some brown toning along some edges. A few use marks. Markings are sharp.
