Smith and Wesson model 1917 in Very Good Condition. This gun was adopted by the US Military to supplement the standard M1911 pistol during World War 1. It used moon clips to hold the 45 ACP cartridge in place. Late ammunition evolved to remedy that. This gun is in great condition for its age.
