From the AyA : “The N° 3 has been AYA’s standard boxlock design since 1960.” Modelled from a Westley Richards boxlock action, brought to Spain by the King brothers. The Anson & Deeley action, the most famous of all boxlock designs, was created by two employees of Westley Richards in 1875, and ever since, Westley Richards guns have defined boxlock elegance. This AyA, sn464492 built in 1975, is a fine upland gun indeed! Weighing a scant 5lbs. 6oz. and balanced perfectly just ahead of the hinge pin, you can carry this gun all day with little fatigue. This Aya has nice straight grain wood and perfect screws. The 20ga. chambering is known to be deadly on pheasants, grouse, quail, dove, woodcock and all upland game. The condition is 98+ percent factory finish on all metal parts. The 27″ barrels are tight on the hinge and breech face, have mirror bores, tight ribs, and are choked a most useful .008/.015 IC/M. These are known to be highly reliable guns, and this one is light as a feather and perfectly just 1/8″ forward of the hinge pin.
