33083- ANTIQUE WINCHESTER 1873 2ND MODEL .44-40 LEVER ACTION STANDARD RIFLE, CIRCA 1879. Serial number “40922” and all matching. Complete Turnbull restoration with original barrel, parts and wood. Mint bore along with crisp barrel address. Locks up nice and tight with no play in lever. Professional looking (Turnbull) case colors on lever and hammer and buttplate. Bluing 97% on frame and barrel. Original sights, correct dustcover. Original wood has some small area of wood filler about inletting at crescent buttplate and about upper tang(see photos). Beautiful dark oil finish just at was originally applied and again only Turnbull can recreate. Cody records indicates this rifle was shipped from warehouse on Nov. 11, 1879 AS IS (letter applied for). Spectacular condition and would appear factory new to the untrained eye(as only Turnbull can do -NOT CHEAP!). $4,500
