This is a custom (gunsmith built) open class competition double stack 1911 / 2011 with slide mounted (does not reciprocate with slide) C-More red dot (red dot works). Trigger is very light and reset is very short. Slide to frame and barrel fit are indicative of custom work. The Slide used for this custom build is a Colt El Jefe 38 super slide (Lew Horton item), and the lower is an all steel Caspian (MBX makes magazines for this frame). Slide racker installed to make racking easier (with the large frame-mounted red dot). Caspian was a premiere supplier of Custom 1911 and 2011 parts for some time (and still makes parts), and someone likely spent a large sum of money putting this competition gun together. Numerous Bianchi Cup National Championships and USPSA National Championships have been won with similar custom guns built on Caspian frames. As with most custom builds, the grip safety has been deactivated (thumb safety still works). This is done to achieve a lighter trigger pull and to avoid accidentally engaging the grip safety during an action shooting sequence. Comes with one magazine. Item has a few light scratches, but is in very nice shape for a competition gun.
