Here we have the smallest model in his range, hunting oriented, produced in November, 1988, 5 mm flat sole construction in stainless steel. 9 cm blade with mirror finish. Brown/black canvas micarta plates, hole for wrist strap. Hand-sewn brown leather case with belt loop and snap clasp.The case and blade feature the artisan's logo: a wild boar from the Ardennes, and on the other side, the knife is marked with the map of France! This knife is in absolute mint condition, as if it had just been manufactured. Superb and exceptional.To be passed on to a true knife collector, who will appreciate this piece. Collector's condition This Jean tanazacq is a scarce vintage small hunting knife with a 4-1/4" blade from 440-C stainless steel stock, full tang construction model, black micarta handle further secured with two stainless steel rivets, wrist thong, tawny leather scabbard with rare wild boar carved logo. Original vintage Tanazacq's are rarely seen in today's marketplace with the map of France and the wild boar logo, however, the rarest of them all bears 4 distinctive markings on the blade-Name/Last-town, area code and Jean Tanazacq across the ricasso. NOTE: KnIfe was made on November 2, 1988 . Brass hardware has been cleaned.
