This Remington 742 BDL Carbine in .30-06 with 18.5" barrel and basket weave checkered stock, remains in very good condition. There are some small dings and dents present on the stock. There are also a few small areas of very light pitting on the metal work( ahead of the front sling swivel). This fle has been shot some and has the start of the typical wear that happens to the 742 series(wear to the bolt guide rails) it has not progressed far though.
