MARLIN MODEL 55 THE ORIGINAL GOOSE GUN , bolt action, 36" barrel with bright glossy bore, brass front bead sight, fixed rear sight, full choke, 12 gauge 3" Magnum chamber, factory original 2-round detachable magazine plus one in the chamber, gold colored trigger, factory original vented rubber recoil pad, thumb safety, original leather sling with detachable swivels, Marlin "bullseye" on bottom of stock, overall length: 57"; overall weight: 8 1/2 pounds, JM stamp indicating early Marlin barrel proof mark, factory original bluing in incredibly nice 99% condition, PLUS pristine walnut one-piece stock/forearm in serial number 70207823. This Marlin Model 55 is a commemorative model celebrating the 100 years that Marlin had been in business from 1870 til 1970 when this gun was made. On the right side of the stock is the Marlin medallion indicating those years. This is a real masterpiece in investor/collector condition.
