"Serial No. 4074cc, manufactured in 1943, 8mm Mauser, 24" round barrel. The “bcd 43" receiver code denotes production at the Gustloff-Werke arsenal, with the double-letter serial suffix (“cc") indicating higher-volume wartime output for that year. Serial numbers are matching throughout. Metal finish is beginning to thin and turn to a smooth patina, while factory markings and Waffenamt inspection stamps on the receiver, barrel, and bolt remain sharp and clearly visible. Stock is in very good condition, showing light handling wear consistent with service use. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A strong example of a mid-war Gustloff-Werke K98k, produced during the height of German wartime manufacturing and retaining clear, correct military markings.
