"Serial No. 6874, manufactured in 1935, 8mm Mauser, 24" round barrel. Serial numbers are matching throughout, except for the bolt. Metal finish has thinned to a mix of grey patina and remaining blue, with factory markings and early Mauser inspection stamps remaining sharp and legible. Stock shows expected handling and service wear, typical of an early-production K98 rifle. Rifle comes with its original sling. Action is smooth and functions correctly. An important and collectible first-year production S/42G K98, representing the beginning of Mauser Oberndorf’s rearmament era under early German military expansion.
