"Serial No. 8306j, manufactured in late 1944, 8mm Mauser, 24" round barrel. Rifle remains matching throughout, except for the front barrel band. Metal finish has thinned to a smooth grey patina, typical of late-war production. These “Last Ditch" rifles were produced hastily in the final months of World War II, often showing simplified machining and finish. Stock is in good condition, displaying light handling and usage marks, with overall wear consistent with field service. Rifle comes with its original sling. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A representative and increasingly scarce example of a late-war bnz 4–coded K98k, manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch during the closing phase of German arms production.
