This is an Inland-made carbine that has a 12-43 dated Inland barrel and mixed parts: "SG" slide; flat "O.I." bolt; "1" stamped metal trigger housing; "LT-Q" hammer; "SW" sear; ".U." magazine release; "D.I." stock iron; and "HI" milled adjustable rear sight. The metal retains about 90-92% of an arsenal reapplied parkerized finish, with silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, as well as along the slide raceway and other bearing surfaces. The two-rivet handguard has no visible markings, while the high wood stock has an "OI" stamp within the sling cut, "C S.A.A." San Antonio Arsenal inspection cartouche on the right side under the rear sight, and a "P (in square)" rebuild firing proof stamped over the still visible "P (in circle)" original firing proof. The wood is in very good shape with numerous small handling marks and minor surface blemishes scattered about the arsenal reapplied military oil finish. No sling is fitted, but a single wartime "IA" marked 15 rd. magazine is included. This is a very nice looking M1 Carbine, and is in fine, arsenal-refurbished condition overall.
