The smith & Wesson Highway Patrolman .357 Magnum revolver was introduced as a less expensive option for law enforcement than Smith & Wesson flagship the .357 Magnum, later called the Model 27. The Highway Patrolman isn't polished to a high polished blue and doesn't have a checkered topstrap and rib like the Model 27. Mechanically, they are the same. The Highway Patrolman didn't have as many barrel length options as the 27. This Model 28-2 is in excellent overall condition and has its original box. It would be a great addition to any collection. Manufactured 1970-72. .357 Magnum
