In very good condition. The Winchester Model 24 is a side-by-side shotgun produced from 1939 to 1957 as an affordable, durable, and practical firearm for hunters. It was designed as a field-grade, utility gun to compete with less expensive imported and domestic models, unlike the premium Winchester Model 21. Approximately 116,000 units were produced. Construction: The Model 24 has a robust and wide forged steel receiver that was wider than more expensive shotguns, leading to some aesthetic criticisms. The gun was built with stamped metal parts to keep production costs low.Action and triggers: This shotgun has a striker-fired action with no external hammers and a non-selective double-trigger system.
