Description: Steyr-Daimler Puch A.G Model 1956 MC chambered in 6.5x55mm. This rifle was made in Austria by Steyr Arms in 1964 and features a 20"blued barrel with a dovetailed blade front sight on a fine serrated ramp base that is fixed to the front of the barrel "hood is missing'. The rear sight is a fixed "U" notched blade on a barrel mounted base. A second blade flips up and is marked "300". The left side of the receiver is marked "STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH A.G., STEYR" and with a round "STEYR in a bullseye logo. The receiver Is marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA / Orignal / Mannlicher–Schönauer / Mod. MC / KAL 6.5x55". The left side of the barrel shank is marked with a "64" date code, "eagle" proof mark and with a Vienna "NPv" smokeless powder proof mark. The left side of the chamber ring is marked with a "64" date code and "eagle" proof mark. The right front side chamber ring is marked with the serial number and importer is marked on the rear "SIMPSON LTD GALESBURG IL". The stock is a checkered walnut one piece stock with a capped pistol grip, Monte Carlo comb with European-style cheekpiece, sling swivels front and rear, and a serrated hard rubber butt plate.
