Description:
The Winchester Model 94 Centennial '66 is a limited-edition commemorative lever-action rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester that was produced in 1966 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" rifle. This edition was the first major factory commemorative in the 94 series, following the smaller run of the 1964 Wyoming Diamond Jubilee carbine. The '66 variant totaled more than 102,000 units produced, available either as a 26"-barrelled rifle or a carbine with a 20" barrel. It had a distinctive brass receiver, forend cap, and butt plate. The octagonal barrel, 8-round magazine tube, saddle ring, bolt, lever, and floorplate are blued. The stock is high-gloss walnut. Sights are comprised of an elevator-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with a fixed front blade. This rifle is in fairly good overall shape. The stock and the blue steel parts have some nicks and small scratches. The brass receiver has some light pitting on the right side. The action is smooth and the bore is clean and bright. Included with the rifle is a sturdy aluminum Plano brand long gun case. .30-30 Winchester
