Description:
The Winchester Model 94 Bicentennial Commemorative is a limited-edition lever-action saddle ring carbine produced in 1976 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of American Independence, with a total production run of just under 20,000 units. It combines the classic design of the Model 94 in .30-30 chambering with patriotic engravings and premium finishes. The silver-plated receiver was antiqued by hand to give it a very unique appearance and has a blue saddle ring attached. The left side has a scrolled border surrounding a spread-winged bald eagle. The right side also has a scrolled border but with a "76" surrounded by 13 stars. The tang is engraved "WINCHESTER MODEL 94". The engraving on the right side of the 20" barrel reads, "Bicentennial 1776-1976." Sights consist of a fixed front and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear. The deluxe American walnut stock features a special medallion on the right side. Unfortunately, this carbine has some significant water damage to the top of the stock and the butt plate shows heavy rust. There is also a small spot of rust where the receiver meets the butt stock. The receiver is in good condition, though the antiqued silver also has some mild tarnishing (this rifle also required special cleaning processes to preserve the special finish, of which the instructions are outlined in the user manual). Included are the original box and packaging, a specially-made faux antler wall rack, user manual, a Winchester hunter's pocket guide, warranty card, and a list of authorized service centers. .30-30 Winchester
