Description:
The Rigby High Velocity Sporting Rifle was chambered for their .275 Rigby cartridge, which was a copy of the 7x57 Mauser cartridge. This variant was the special Light Weight rifle, which featured a lighter barrel and was notably missing the cheek rest. One of the previous owners obviously decided that this already light rifle needed to be even lighter and had the iron sights removed as well as the original side mount. The upper area of the front bridge, where the Rigby markings once were, has been ground smooth to prepare the action for the new scope mount. Aside from the noted modifications, the rifle is in good to very good condition with little wear aside from normal bore erosion and a small crack forming behind the tang.
