Sig Sauer P365XL Spectre Comp – 9mm – 3.1" Compensated Barrel – 17+1
We liked the XL Spectre Comp models when they were being made. Although the entire P365 line are great pistols, the standard P365 just felt small in the hand. The 365X was closer, but the pinky finger (for many folks) couldn’t quite find a home. The XL, however? That was just about perfect. A great feeling grip, still concealable and the ability to tote 17 rounds of ammo if you chose. Then, take into account the compensated barrel and you had a pistol with very little muzzle flip, smooth shooting and equally at home as a home defense, concealed carry or range pistol. It really checked a lot of boxes!
Our pistol (serial number FC010506) was manufactured in March, 2023. The FDE color is a nice change of pace from the standard black. It has the great feeling X Series grip and the flat trigger.
The trigger feels fantastic with a very nice break. The pistol has a good bore, bright barrel and strong rifling. Night sights came standard on this pistol and these are still bright, as you’d expect after just two years. An accessory rail will handle a light, laser or a combo as you choose.
The grips are in Very Good condition. The frame is also in Very Good condition. We’d rate the slide as Good, only because there are some areas where there is some residue that needs to be cleaned off.
Also mounted on the pistol is a Sig Sauer Romeo Zero optic. The glass is clear and the dot is bright and crisp. The exterior of the optic is also in Very Good condition and hasn’t been beat up.
Overall, this is a very solid package. A great pistol, solid optic, night sights, great condition . . . there’s a lot to like on this one.
