The VP9 is the current flagship handgun made by Germany's Heckler & Koch—a firearms company deeply rooted in crafting some of the world's finest and high-performing firearms with a long list of military and law enforcement contracts, in addition to offering guns that can deliver medal-winning performance to shooters at the highest levels of competition. Though it may be easy to group the VP9 in with other polymer-framed striker-fired semi-autos, the VP9 is often touted as one of the most comfortable handguns to hold, thanks to its unique and industry-influential modular grip system: rear backstraps as well as each side panel can be swapped out by the user in a matter of minutes to perfectly fit the individual, making it truly a versatile "one-size-fits-all" handgun. The VP9L is a competition-oriented variant with a 5" long extended barrel for faster velocities, softer perceived recoil, and a longer, more accurate sight radius in open-sight matches. The VP9L also has a unique barrel bushing system that utilizes replaceable o-rings to softly fit the barrel to the slide—a critical feature sought after by high-level pistol shooters. The user-replaceable o-ring design keeps the barrel and slide lightweight and yet affordable, without requiring custom hand-fitting like many more expensive match pistols. This VP9L in question was originally an optics-ready pistol with a slide featuring an optic cut to accept various electronic reflex sights. However, a previous owner has swapped upper assemblies (slide and barrel) with a VP9L-B, a non-optics-ready version with adjustable target rear sight and red fiber optic front sight. Thus, the slide & upper do not match serials with the lower frame. However, this gun is in extremely good condition and has seen light use in its current configuration. The gun operates extremely smoothly and the trigger is excellent on this VP9. Included with the pistol are the original factory hard case (serial matching the frame), additional grip panels, three OEM 20-round extended magazines, a magazine loader, and the user manual. 9mm Parabellum
