Description:
The Colt Anaconda was introduced in 1990 as a premium quality .44 magnum revolver to compete with Smith & Wesson's Models 29 and 629. Discontinued in 2001 due to rising costs and shifts in the gun market, it was subsequently revived in 2021 as a 3rd generation model featuring updates like better metallurgy, a ventilated barrel rib, and a dual-locking cylinder for smoother action. The revolver listed here is from the earlier part of that 3rd gen revival. It has a 6" barrel with ventilated rib, adjustable rear notch sight, front ramp sight with red insert, and a full-length barrel underlug. Chambered in the powerful .44 Remington Magnum cartridge, it weighs 3 lbs, 2 oz, and features a recoil-absorbing Colt-logo rubber Monogrip. The transfer bar safety system allows safe carry with all six chambers loaded. The gun is in remarkably good shape overall, an excellent shooter-grade example, with minimal wear or handling marks and a fairly normal drag mark for its age. The action is as smooth as a Colt revolver should be, and the bore is clean and bright. It includes the original blue Colt factory case, but no user manual. .44 Magnum
