Gerbruder Merkel of Suhl Germany is an incredible gun maker.  They make all manner of fine guns that run the gambit from entry level side by side guns to more elaborate, engraved ejectors over/under guns. The Model 8 is German engineering at its finest, it’s built to last and packed with features that will ensure the gun will give years of trouble-free service. The barrels are reinforced by a cross-bolt and side clips, which ensure your barrels are shut and properly aligned, the action closes like a vault! The integrated cocking indicators give you a tactile reminder of your guns condition and which sear has been tripped, an auto safety and single select trigger complete the package. Balanced perfectly upon the hinge pin, this Model 8 feel just like an extension of your body and weighs 6lbs even, ideal for long days crossing field and glen. This Merkel has been proofed at the factory and does not appear to have been used since. This one is chambered for 3” 20 gauge, and is chocked IC/M. Has mirror bores, 26 3/4” barrels that ring as bells, 99%+ bluing, 100% Factory Case Color, the action is tight and right of center and has Perfect screws. The wood to metal fit is outstanding in its precision, the furniture shows beautiful grain and plenty of fiddleback and perfect hand cut checkering, what a handsome package this gun is! This example features extractors, so you’ll always know where your empties are! Included this German gem is the original box, paperwork and operators’ manual.
