This Colt Peacemaker Centennial Commemorative celebrates the 100th anniversary of the legendary Single Action Army revolver. Manufactured in 1973, this model reflects Colt’s craftsmanship and historic reverence for the iconic “Peacemaker,” which became the definitive sidearm of the American West. Chambered in .44-40, the revolver features a 7 ½” round barrel with standard markings and a nickel finish. The grips are standard hard rubber Colt grips with the rampant colt emblem and US eagle. There is a Commemorative 100th anniversary plaque recognizing the SAA which came to be known as the COLT "FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". Condition is excellent, with only minor handling evidence and the action is mechanically sound. This Colt comes in a Colt collectors display box for the "1873 Peacemaker Centennial 1973 designated for the 44-40 caliber. The display box remains in average shape with a small section of damage to the cover and light edge wear. A desirable commemorative Colt, perfect for collectors of historical revolvers or commemorative editions.
