The Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk 1 is a British bolt-action rifle chambered in .303 British, adopted for service in 1939 and widely used during World War II as the primary infantry weapon for the British and Commonwealth forces. It was a simplified and modernized replacement for the earlier SMLE, designed for faster production and featuring a new rear aperture sight and a 10-round detachable magazine. The rifle was produced in the UK, Canada, and the US, and its post-war service continued in various roles, including as a sniper rifle. .303 British
