Description:
Built with 29" fbeautiful damascus steel brls that have concave top rib with small steel front bead. Rib legend reads "JOHN DICKSON & SON 63 PRINCES STREET EDINBURGH". Dickson round action has beaded fences and is near full coverage scroll engraved with maker's name in banner on sides. Scroll engraved top tang with gold inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the safety slide. Gun made with double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety, and assisted opening system.
This Dickson Round Action comes elegently presented in an oak/leather case with a leather maker's label, ebony cleaning rod, John Dickson oil bottle and snap caps.
Dickson round actions are not all that common. However, finding one with the original damascus barrels with great wall thickness is an even tougher task. The original owner of the gun was Captain A.S. wingate from the British Intelligence Branch. A book of his travels in China/India(written by his wife) will accompany this fine setup. Research letter and original ledger entry also included.
