RARE ANTIQUE SMITH & WESSON No 1 ½ Single Action Pocket Revolver
If you're looking for an good addition to your Smith & Wesson or Top Break revolver collection, then this antique, rare Smith & Wesson .32 Single Action Top Break Model 1 ½ revolver might just be what you're looking for. Made between 1878 and 1892, this revolver features a serial number of 52559 , indicating it was probably produced around 1882
With a small frame and auto-ejecting fluted cylinder, this revolver boasts a double top post barrel latch and a 3 ½ “ raised ribbed round barrel. A pinned half-moon front sight with fixed rear sight. The 5-shot .32 S&W short revolver has all serialized parts matching. Its barrel-to-frame fit is tight and the action functions very well mechanically with good timing and lock-up.
Condition: 3 ½” barrel with a very lightly oxidized bore with a couple spots of very minor pitting and still showing very strong rifling. The metal surfaces still retain most of the original nickel. The finish has some very light pin-prick pitting starting in places with some light oxidation, freckling , light scratches and handling marks. Original hard rubber factory grips feature the Smith & Wesson monogram on the top and are in very good condition . All the appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun and all barrel markings are clear and legible. Mechanically the gun appears to work very good in single action with very good timing and lock-up. The current condition of the item listed has been described to the best of my ability .
