This is a super cool original first year 1977 S&W model 68 CHP California Highway Patrol 38 special only revolver. Looks to be all correct. The last picture is from the S&W 4th ediition book that goes into great detail about this run. This one has the correct "OHB" overstamp that was used when these were sold off to the public. Also has the correct "V" stamped 38 special only cylinder. For a duty gun, it's in pretty good shape showing just usual signs of use. Grips show the usual
handling marks. Solid mechanics and no rust or pitting I can see. Great little time piece for someone that collects law enforcement revolvers. No box or paperwork.
