Description:
MFG by Mauser in 1944 for NAZI Military during WWII. BYF code was assigned to Mauser-Werke AG to disguise factory's identity from allied intellegence efforts. Adopted in 1938 the P38 proved easier & more efficient to mass produce than the Luger. NAZI era acceptance proofs are on slide and frame in multiple locations. Matching s/n on frame, slide and locking block. Mechanically excellent with shiny bore and one magazine. Grips are black Bakelite and also in excellent condition with no visible cracks. One of the best BYF 44s we have had in years!
