For sale is a beautiful and scarce Browning BSS 20GA Sidelock in excellent condition. It also comes housed a nice break-down Browning case. This fine double was manufactured by Miroku for Browning in 1984 and is one of the finest shotguns ever produced in Japan. With only 300-400 Sidelock models built in 20ga, these guns are not only hard to find, they offer an excellent value in the world of fine guns. It has been fired and used very little (evident by the mirror-like action face) and is in excellent overall condition with only scattered light handling marks and scratches.
The H&H style sidelock ejector is hand engraved with a classic rose and scroll pattern. The above average European walnut has been fashioned into a slim splinter forend paired with a classic English grip. The action and stock are balanced by 26" chopper lump barrels that are beautifully struck. Fixed chokes are IC/MOD. At 6lbs 1oz, it is the perfect weight for a 20-bore bird gun.
As you would expect, the gun functions perfectly. The ejectors are strong and in time and the lock up is perfectly solid. This gun is ready to provide a lifetime of service and would make an outstanding addition to any collection. Hands down this is one of the highest quality guns you will find in this price range.
