Description:
Sharps-Borchardt 1878 Model Mid-Range No. 2 single shot black powder rifle chambered in .40-70 Sharps. Features include a 30-inch blued barrel along with a case-hardened receiver and lever with Gutta-percha panels to each side of the action. One of approximately 215 rifles manufactured from 1878-1881, and of these, only 31 were this variation with gutta-percha panels. Wind gauge spirit level globe front sight and adjustable rear ladder sight and Vernier peep sight fitted on the upper tang. Comes with a grooved wooden tompion and no other accessories.
