Like NEW, never had a cartridge in its chamber. Built on the legacy and reliability of the model 88B, the 89B is a tribute to a bygone era in English gunmaking history. Its classic lines incorporate the best design elements of pre-war, British, boxlocks, while modern steels and precision machining capabilities provide the most in strength and reliability. It is chambered for the proven .450/400 Nitro Express 3" cartridge, suitable for all dangerous game. The "Grade 1" typically refers to a standard level of finish and a select grade of European walnut stock. Key Features and Specifications: !) Action and Lockup: Features a strong Anson & Deeley boxlock action with a robust triple lockup mechanism, which includes a Purdey double underbite and a Greener crossbolt. 2) Barrels: The rifle has hammer-forged Krupp steel barrels, available up to 26 inches in length, and are internally regulated by HEYM for guaranteed accuracy with specified ammunition. 3) Stock and Forend: The stock is made from select European walnut and is crafted in the classic English style with a more open grip and a tapered comb compared to the previous Model 88B. Stock dimensions are typically made to order for a perfect fit. It features hand-cut checkering and an oil finish. The forend is shorter and more slender. 4)Triggers and Safety: It is equipped with a double trigger system with an articulated front trigger as a standard feature.
