Here is one of my latest builds in a nice walnut stock with tung oil finish. This rifle is in .36 cal. the Brl twist is 1-70.
This build is from a "Kibler Longrifles Kit".
The styling is from the 1820s based on the work of Whitson in western North Carolina.
The walnut stock has a pull of about 13.75” and a drop of approximately 3 5/8” and no cast off.
The Buttplate is approximately 1.375” in width and 4.5” in height.
The rifle is Iron mounted, sporting a 44” custom profiled barrel...swamped barrel. At the breech it measures .938” and at the waist approximately .700”. A very nice contoured barrel. Square bottom rifling.
Mounted with an outstanding Ketland lock produced by Jim Kibler with double set triggers.
