Description:
Outstanding custom Winchester Model 12 12 gauge. Serial 1948079 has a 26-inch barrel (WS-1, serrated duckbill vent rib, red front bead, silver middle bead, 2.75-inch) and custom rust blue (polished barrel/receiver flats and satin receiver top). STOCK: The AAA-grade Turkish blank set with dynamic sunburst is stunning, but its execution is unrivaled. The forearm showcases flawless 28 lines-per-inch checkering highlighted by ribbons and fleurs. The design reappears at the grip with an additional field of 32 lines-per-inch siding the comb point. A steel grip cap and thin Winchester logo pad provide finishing touches. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.8 pounds. Length-of-pull is 13.75 inches, drops are 1.5 and 2.0 inches, and cast off is approximately .40-inch. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Mechanics are solid. Metal finish is at least 95 percent with minor hints of field use and a trio of small freckles at the wood line on receiver left. Wood is at least 98 percent. NOTE: Originating directly from the estate of Griffin & Howe's former landlord, a patron of the establishment, it was likely stocked by their finest. Sadly unsigned and a no-show in the company records, it thus must be unattributed. The price is firm and layaway is available. $2,250 plus shipping.
