Description:
Outstanding custom Winchester Model 42 .410. Serial 80208 has a 26-inch barrel (fixed M, three-inch) and fine rust blue. STOCK: Drawn from a rich walnut blank set, fore and grip each are dressed with fine panel checkering. Additional appointments include an original Winchester grip cap and butt plate. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 5.8 pounds. Length-of-pull is 13.75 inches, drops are 1.7 and 2.5 inches, and cast off is approximately .30-inch. CONDITION: The bore is outstanding, strong and bright. The original barrel markings are ghosted just the current. Wood is at least 98 percent. NOTE: Originating directly from the estate of Griffin & Howe's former landlord, a patron of the establishment, it was likely customized and stocked by their finest.
