Payment Types Accepted: Check, Money Order Description: Rare 1893 Marlin Short Rifle / Dealer Marked. V. Kindler Saginaw MI dealer. Here is a little history on him: V. Kindler was a major firearm retailer and wholesaler based in East Saginaw, Michigan, who marked many late 19th-century firearms with the name "V. Kindler/East Saginaw". His shop, established in 1867, was reported to be the largest in Michigan and sold guns from brands like Winchester, Marlin, and Sharps. These retailer-marked firearms are now collectible items. 22" octagon barrel and full magazine tube in the desirable and sought after 32-40 caliber. Correct front and rear sights. Great markings, notice picture of the V Kindler Saginaw marking with the double struck 32-40 caliber marking. Barrel and tube retain 60 to 65% original blue with remaining a nice gray / brown patina. Nice bore, I will rate it a 7.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Receiver retains a nice molted case colored finish. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition showing the normal handling marks, scratches, and scrapes that you would expect to see from a firearm of this vintage. All in all you get a double rarity with this Marlin: one, a factory short rifle, and two, a rarely seen dealer marked rifle. Please feel free to ask questions. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. I will entertain trades and offer a layaway. I'm Price: $2,295.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
