Description:
The Remington XP-100 is a bolt-action pistol produced by Remington Arms from 1963 to 1998. The XP-100 went through a number of changes during its production run, and many variations were only available through the Remington Custom shop. The most significant changes in the later versions were to barrel length, which went to 14+1/2 in (370 mm), and the grip location, which was moved to the rear of the stock. Then, from 1990, the company also produced a XP100R version. With a small internal box magazine that held a few extra rounds, the 'R' stood for 'repeater'. To allow the shooter to better work the bolt to reload, the grip was moved to the rear of this variant and it was fitted with a DuPont Kevlar stock. Stocks with a rear grip use standard Remington 700 triggers. The XP-100R is chambered in the .22-250 and is known for its high power and long-range capabilities, making it suitable for target shooting and hunting.
