Heritage Charles Lancaster Grade C sidelock ejector gun with 20 and 28 bore barrels. The 20 bore barrels measure 30” while the 28 bore barrels measure 29”. The 20 bore barrels are choked improved modified and improved modified while the 28 bore barrels are choked modified and full. 15 1/16” length of pull to a checkered butt.

Straight/English stock, double triggers on a square bar action, non-auto safety, dolls head third bite, removable striker discs, plain game rib with a single brass front bead, vacant silver oval, drop points, Anson push button forend release, and a splinter forend. The gun is housed in the maker’s leather toe-under case with snap caps, cleaning rods, jags, brass brush, black leather hand guards, maker’s label, and a key. Invisible sleeved 20 bore barrels reproofed in London in 1999 with 2 ¾” chambers. The 28 bore barrels were proofed in London in 1997 with 2 ¾” chambers.

Minimal scroll and border engraving on the locks and action as well as a crown engraved on both locks. Case color hardened action and blued furniture. Action is mostly silver. Well figured walnut stock with some scratches consistent with field use. Superbly executed wrap around checkering on the stock. Checkering in excellent condition as recut. Excellent bores and bluing on barrels other than some silvering where the forend wood meets the barrels. Some cleaned up pitting on top of the left lock. Top lever right of center and gun on face with 20 bore barrels. With 28 bore barrels the top lever is slightly left of center and slightly off face as well. Ejectors in time with both sets of barrels.
