The Marlin Model 9 is a 9mm semi-automatic "Camp Carbine" rifle, produced from 1985 to 1999, known for its compact, durable design inspired by the M1 Carbine. It features a 16.5-inch Micro-Groove barrel, a 1.5-pound pull trigger, a one-piece walnut-finished stock, and a 12- or 20-round detachable magazine, often a Smith & Wesson 59-series magazine. The rifle is blowback-operated, has a non-threatening, traditional appearance, and includes a Garand-type safety.
