Chokes SK/SK, LOP 14", DAH 2 1/4", DAC 1 9/16" Serial Number: 56450 The Browning Superposed is one of the finest over/under shotguns in history and one of John Browning’s most admired inventions. Browning Superposed were built in Belgium from 1931 through 1976 when regular production ended. As you compare this gun to others, keep in mind that the most desirable Superposed guns have a long tang, round knob guns built before 1967. This Superposed was built in 1957, notably, before the change to the short tang trigger guard and well before the “salt-wood debacle.” The gun is an excellent shooter and has been well loved, it has a resin fix on the left side of the stock by the trigger guard, and a repair at the top tang, please review the photographs, a few cosmetic flaws, but a great looking and mechanically sound Superposed nevertheless-and priced accordingly! The gun has mirror bores, 26 3/8” barrels with vent rib, choked SK/SK, the ejectors are well timed. The barrel and receiver retain 99% factory blue, crisp Grade 1 engraving and excellent screws, there are some handling marks on the furniture. Included with this gun is a browning hard case.
