Description:
RARE Antique Hopkins & Allen, large frame, top break auto ejecting , .32 S&W, Double Action Revolver. 6 Shot , 3 ¼” barrel , All original with matching numbers. Made for Black powder cartridges. SN: H 8855
Condition: 3 1/4” barrel with a very lightly oxidized bore with minor pitting and still showing good rifling. The metal surfaces still retain some of the original nickel finish with some light oxidation, scratches and moderate pin-prick surface pitting. Original hard rubber black checkered factory grips feature a star design around the brass escutcheons , with flag shield and F&W banner above and are in very good condition. a small chip repair done to the bottom of both grips. Please judge from the photos. All the appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun and barrel markings are clear and legible as well. Mechanically works well in single as well as double action with good lock-up and a tiny bit of cylinder play at lock-up. Timing is just a little off but then again these are made for black powder.
