This is an original US 1872 Pattern Belt Plate with keeper. The over-all condition is very good with only moderate signs of use, some scratches and dents and some verdigris. This is a standard pattern enlisted plate with a US inside a circle with a stippled background. The patina is matching on the two pieces.;
