Description:
Exceptionally nice condition .38 Super 1911 made in 1949. My Uncle bought this new and it has passed down through my father to me but it's time for it to move on. It has the 'fat barrel' and a mix of pre and post war small parts but mostly post war which is appropriate for a gun from 1949.The Coltwood stocks are in perfect condition and actually have some color variation to simulate wood. There is a slight amount of blueing wear on the front of the slide from being put into and out of the holster. Otherwise the gun is almost like new though it has been fired a little.
It come with three magazines from the same period and all are in really good condition. It also comes with a George Lawrence brand #25 holster that is marked '38 SU.A' and a #2 dual magazine holder of the same vintage that is marked '45' on one line and 'A' below that.
