SMITH & WESSON ONLY MADE 1000 MODEL 46 PISTOLS WITH A 5 INCH FIELD BARREL AND 500 WITH THE 5 1/2 INCH HEAVY BARREL AND 2500 WITH A 7 INCH TARGET BARREL.
THIS EXTRA BARREL CAN BE USED TO SWAP OUT YOUR 7 INCH TARGET BARREL AND CONVERT THE PISTOL TO A HANDY 5 INCH VERSION FOR CARRY IN THE FIELD OR PLINKING.
(PRODUCTION OF THE ENTIRE LINE OF MODEL 46 PISTOLS STOPPED IN 1966 AND ONLY RAN FROM 1957 -1966.)
THE BARREL AND WEIGHT/ADAPTER ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY A FEW HANDLING MARKS ON THE BARREL WEIGHT/ADAPTER AND SOME VERY FAINT CORNER WEAR ON SOME SPOTS OF THE BARREL ITSELF.
THE CROWN IS PERFECT AND THE BORE AND BARREL ARE SMOOTH, CLEAN AND SHINY WITH EXCELLENT RIFLEING.
