Big Boy All-Weather - Side Gate - 357Mag - 20\" Barrel - 10+1
Sometimes in this business, words such as “like new", “pristine" and “mint" get thrown around way too easily. Then, you come across a rifle like this and it really does look like new. We should know. We sold this rifle (new in box) to our customer in January, 2024. The only things that have changed since then are the addition of some upgrades that we’ll tell you more about in a minute.
The rifle (serial number BBS03532GMAW) is a Henry All Weather that’s chambered in 357 Mag and will, of course, also shoot 38 Special. It has a 20 inch barrel, a bead front sight and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. The tube magazine holds 10 rounds and you can reload via the side gate on the receiver. The metal finish is an industrial hard chrome plating and the straight grip stock has attached sling swivels. That All Weather finish lets you hunt in rain or snow without fear of rust. The wood stock is also sealed with a moisture resistant coating. The 357 Mag versions of this rifle are (personal opinion) our favorite caliber. They’re fun to shoot, won’t beat you up with recoil and the ammo is reasonably priced.
On the subject of upgrades . . . we see some guns come into the shop that have upgrades that are of no value to most buyers. It may have been what the original owner wanted but not what appeals to most folks. That’s not the case with this one. The owner of this rifle has made some make-sense upgrades that add value to the firearm overall. That doesn’t often happen. Here’s what you get:
The addition of a picatinny rail above the receiver ($150). Significantly opens up the types of optics that you can mount on this rifle. Ranger Point Precision trigger w/ approx. pull of 2.5 lbs ($250). The original trigger comes with the purchase so you can change it back if you’d like. I’m not sure why you would because this one feels fantastic. The addition of a large loop lever ($50). The original, standard loop comes with the purchase and it’s a really simply process to switch it back if you’d like.
The owner says that he’s put 250-300 rounds through it. We’d have guessed less. The rifle is just Mint in all regards . . . stock, finish, bore, recoil pad, barrel . . . you name it. I’m not sure how our customer keeps his firearms in such great condition, but he does. I can manage to ding one of mine just taking it out of the safe.
If you like the Henry All Weather, this one really is Like New. Maybe even a bit better with those usable upgrades? Take a good look at this one and check the pictures out. If this is the model that you want, then this is probably the rifle that you want.
