This 1100 is marked **** and plug gauges at Improved Modified. It is a rather unusual piece for that reason. It is in great shape with little evidence of firing, the jeweling on the bolt face is intact, the butt pad has sharp edges, and the wood has no apparent blemishes. Being a 3-inch with 30-inch barrels, one would think of a waterfowling shotgun, or an "open" Trap gun. This would probably work as a beginner Trap gun to introduce a new shooter to the sport. The slightly more open choke would lend confidence of success to the newbie's shooting. 12 Gauge
