Description:
Very clean Pre 64 Winchester 70 in .243 Win. The .243 was one of the later caliber additions to the Pre 64 line, introduced in 1955. Most were made in featherweight, target, or plastic butted standard configurations. Those with steel buttplates are not so easy to find, and this one would make a worthy addition to most any collection.
S/N 348069 with matching bolt made in 1955.
98% Blue on barreled action. 96% Blue on bottom metal. 97% Varnish with interesting and attractive wood.
24" barrel with an excellent bore. Excellent mechanical functions.
